The specialist wanted  to see him after his appt with a new test called Goldman visual fields and anther called ocular computerized tomography on feb 22 2019 . On October 18 ,2018 Cristian seen his endocrinology specialist he gained 2 pounds and the height stayed the same . Cristian is 102 pounds still 4”11. We talked about the few changes Cristian will have going through puberty voice and hair growing more cafeaulait spots . But nothing too concerning just to keep up with all his check ups and his mri’s. March 20 2019 Dixiana went back to Cristian’s Ophthalmalogy for results .
Dixiana knew that Cristian seen an eye doctor because of the tumor in his Brain but little did she know was more concerning his vision in the future. Cristian specifically has An optic nerve glioma (also called an optic pathway glioma) is a  brain tumor that arises in or around the optic nerve, which connects the eye to the brain.  If the the tumor progresses, it presses on the optic nerve, causing a child’s vision to worsen and blindness may occur. Cristian will have to go on chemotherapy for awhile.
The eye doctor diagnosed this like benign neoplasm of eyeball. Over all Cristian vision worsen but also it’s hard  to tell because it inherited to use glasses in his family also another is the tumor but for now it has not affected his vision but the Cabral family has to know the negative and the positive of Cristian’s future.
